Reporting directly to the Director Network Operations, the Continuous Improvement Specialist will act both as an expert in continuous improvement for hub sort operations and linehaul network design.This role will work with and influence our operations teams to address operational issues, meet our performance standards and challenge the status quo by defining and implementing new processes, tools, layouts, and equipment. They will plan, analyse and adjust the linehaul network that connects or last mile delivery stations to our hubs to meet delivery date expectations and optimize cost.
We see this role as a center piece of our ability to build an industry leading operational team.
Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
Graduate degree in industrial or mechanical engineering or operations management, or related field.7 years in operations, experience in the transportation & logistic industry is desired.3 years in a role related to operational excellence, engineering, or performance improvement.Recognized in the provincial engineering association, an assetHolds a Lean Six Sigma certification; Green Belt level, an assetHigh proficiency in Excel.Knowledge of AutoCAD is required, simulation software, an asset.Detail oriented, data driven and strong ability to keep people accountable.Bilingual in French and English. This role requires pan-Canadian communications, an intermediate level of English is required.Job requirement
