About the role
Our growing team is looking for a Product Owner, 17 month temporary position
What you'll do:
Work closely with the development team (IT Business Analysts, Developers, Testers), as a stakeholder representative and is responsible for providing product roadmaps by prioritizing and maintaining the product backlog. Ensure liaison and communication between stakeholders and teams. Keep communication open with team members to ensure they can meet the deadlines we have committed to and able to provide up-to-date status updates. Prioritize work for the team with the help of the Scrum Master. Coordinate and communicate with product owners on other teams. Participate in tribal ceremonies and team ceremonies. Design the vision and roadmaps. Create the cards in Jira. Define acceptance criteria for user stories. Approve completed stories. Assist managers with dependencies between teams to remove barriers. Act as a pricing expert and own the user experience and business impact.What you need:
Bachelor's degree in IT or any combination of education and experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Owner. Excellent knowledge of agile methodology. Comfortable with Jira, Teams, and Confluence tools. Product Owner Certification (CSPO) is an asset. Ability to deliver impactful presentations and facilitate workshops. Ability to lead a team and facilitate daily scrums and prioritization workshops. Very good understanding of the technical aspects of design and development. Bilingualism (French/English) – Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country. No Canadian work experience required, but authorization to work in Canada required.Profile sought:
