Robert Half is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator, to join our clients team for a 12 month contract. This role will support various HR functions and initiatives, enhancing business performance through employee engagement, organizational design, retention and succession planning, skill building, change management, and process improvement. Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment:

  • Assist with external agencies, hiring managers, and the Talent team to ensure seamless execution of full lifecycle recruitment activities.
  • Participate in the recruitment process, creating a positive and inspiring experience for all candidates.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to recruitment, including creating positions and job postings.
  • Maintain alignment on talent acquisition status and priorities through regular communication with the Talent team.

Performance Management:

  • Provide guidance to managers throughout the My Performance Journey (MPJ) process, ensuring timely completion of action items.
  • Follow up on Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) or development plans as needed.

Employee Benefits:

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company’s benefits programs to support employee participation and management.
  • Assist with the administrative process of leaves of absence in partnership with the HR Director and function heads.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new employee questions and support.

HR Systems and Processes:

  • Update associate information (e.g., terminations, status changes) in HRIS and other systems, and maintain employee-related files.
  • Perform administrative duties related to accurate people data for expense allocation and reporting.
  • Generate and analyze reports from HRIS, converting data to Excel as needed.



Qualifications:

  • College or University Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Working towards a CHRP professional designation preferred.
  • General knowledge of Canadian employment law is essential.
  • Retail industry experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with employees.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
