Job Overview
A dynamic opportunity awaits an experienced **Inventory Control Manager** to oversee and optimize ingredient, packaging, and finished goods inventory across Manufacturing, Warehouse, and 3PL offsite facilities. This role requires expertise in training, inventory analysis, and implementing best practices to minimize waste, inaccuracies, and theft.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Oversee and support inventory control and supply chain functions.
- Analyze current procedures with Operations, Supply Chain, and Warehousing to optimize efficiency and cost.
- Manage cycle and year-end inventory counts at multiple warehouses and reconcile transit inventory.
- Develop action plans for effective inventory level management and stock optimization.
- Ensure accurate Min/Max levels and costing for all items.
- Address and resolve inventory issues, identify root causes, and implement fixes.
- Enforce compliance with inventory management policies and procedures.
- Generate and reconcile inventory valuation reports from all warehouses.
- Inventory Analysis & Coordination:
- Examine supply levels to determine shortages, through system and physical counts.
- Investigate inventory variances, determine root causes, and suggest process improvements.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound loads between 3PL and main warehouses.
- Manage inventory adjustments and postings in the SAP system.
- Assist in system implementations and integrations.
- Analyze current inventory levels for demand forecasting.
- Coordinate inventory levels for various projects with strategic departments.
- Inventory Auditing & Reporting:
- Conduct required inventory counts for all products, materials, and packaging.
- Maintain detailed inventory records.
- Reorganize and reposition inventories to ensure FIFO, FEFO standards.
- Address and resolve discrepancies in inventory.
- Implement improved security and storage procedures to reduce loss and theft.
- Propose strategies to reduce costs and improve supply chain logistics procedures.
- Evaluate deliveries, shipments, and product levels to enhance inventory control.
- Actively audit inventory control processes and track performance.
- Support supplier evaluation through data analysis and trend monitoring.
- Communication & Reporting:
- Prepare and present detailed reports and data analysis to management.
**Qualifications:**
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in inventory management.
- Proficiency in SAP; experience with Batch-Master system is an asset.
- **Skills:**
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
- Effective in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Skilled in process improvement.
- Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic setting.
