Pre-Sales Engineer:
  • Assist Gteck Sales Team in answering technical questions, making technical presentations, and managing customers' expectations through phone, email, and on-site visits.
  • Communicate customer feedback into future product developments.
  • Assist in the generation of new business and ensure growth of existing and potential new accounts by leveraging technical knowledge of physical security products supported by Gteck Advanced Technology.
  • Leverage relationships within organizations to solve technical hurdles and foster awareness of new and emerging technology.
  • Interface with various customers at both a business and a technical level and propose viable solutions in real time during customer meetings.
  • Attend sales calls as a technical specialist.
  • Generation of technical scopes of work (SOW) and detailed schematic drawings for technical solutions and associated cost estimates. 
  • Ensure that technically complete and compliant scope of work, bill of material, riser distributions, schematic drawings and cost estimates are handed off to the operations department after a project is awarded.
  • Provide initial Pre & Post-sales support by ensuring the operations team and client understand the detailed scope of work. 
  • Provide support in the estimation process to include interfacing with multiple representatives of sales, management, and customer teams. 
  • Perform economic analysis for clients’ changes in operations, rate structures, etc.
 Industry Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of various security system platforms such as Genetec, CCure by Software House, Milestone, Avigilon, and other physical security products supported by Gteck Advanced Technology.
  • Minimum 5-7 years experience implementing various projects in CCTV Systems, Security Systems, Access Control, Cloud and other IP Based Solutions
  • Working knowledge of network infrastructure including switches, routers and IP configurations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and Word) and PDF Editing
Other skills include:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a pre-sales role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Exceptional verbal communication, written, and presentation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders
  • Show tact and diplomacy.
  • Industry knowledge of Video, Access Control, Intrusion, and other common technology platforms is required.
  • Manufacturer relationships are required.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of applicable federal, provincial and municipal codes and standards relating to physical security
  • Driver License (clear Driving Record) with your own vehicle.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization and time-management skills.
  • General knowledge of fibre optics

Gteck Advanced Technology is currently seeking a highly dedicated and experienced Pre-Sales Engineer in the Mississauga area to fuel the growth by cultivating new relationships and driving revenue. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the physical security Industry along with basic installation and operational functions of physical technology deployment.  The role of the Pre-Sales Engineer is to assist the sales team in understanding how to sell complex solutions.  

As an experienced Pre-Sales Engineer; the ideal candidate will also support the Gteck team in the preparation of cost estimates and technical proposals for the customers in addition to developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
