Job Description

The opportunity:

Playing both a technical and strategical role, the Digital Analytics Developer is responsible for the implementation and development of digital analytics solutions for RCL divisions. He or She plays a key role in supporting the divisions’ online business needs and ensures that strategies are constantly translated into digital analytics measurement solutions optimized based on provided insights.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the implementation and development of digital analytics, data collection and marketing measurement solutions;
  • Work with key stakeholders to understand analytics objectives and requirements, develop the appropriate measurement and tracking solutions for digital analytics tools and participate in the evolution of overall analytics and customer intelligence capabilities;
  • Participate in the design, site flow and metrics tracking discussions to ensure all required tagging and metrics are appropriately developed;
  • Develops and distributes recurring KPI reports and dashboards measuring customer behavior and experience across channels and brands;
  • Measures and monitors the performance of our ecommerce sites, digital platforms and digital marketing initiatives;
  • Perform in depth analysis as required from various data sources (web, email, CRM, etc.) that provide insights into factors impacting digital performance, as well as the effectiveness of initiatives such as websites enhancements, acquisition and promotional campaigns, and A/B testing;
  • In-house digital analytics reference and subject-matter expert acting as an advisor with the different stakeholders in their projects and analysis, and as a mentor with other resources involved;
  • Leads advanced analytics initiatives including segmentation, behavioral analysis and conversion rate optimization (CRO) in order to improve digital performance.
  • Collaborate with the data and BI team to design data models that effectively integrate and organize collected data in internal platforms (BigQuery, Snowflake);

Qualifications

  • University or college degree;
  • Minimum five (5) years experience with digital analytics in an ecommerce context;
  • Expert in site analytics tools, in particular Google Analytics, including tracking and tag management experience (Google Tag Manager) and data analytics skills;
  • Experience with data platforms (Big Query, Snowflake), and Business Intelligence tools (Microstrategy, Looker) – an asset;
  • Experience in a retail ecommerce environment - an asset;
  • Knowledge of web technologies / programming languages such as Javascript, SQL, HTML, CSS – an asset;
  • Experience with project management, business process redesign principles, tools and techniques – an asset;
  • Solid interpersonal and adaptation skills;
  • Bilingual (French and English);
