Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking
for full-time Clinical Pharmacist to join our Earl’s Pharmacy team in Saskatoon, SK. Earl’s is a leader and innovator in the field of public LTC pharmacy services. This position will allow you to work collaboratively with a top team of experienced pharmacists, as well as nursing staff, physicians and other members of the health care team to delivery truly resident centered care. About Earl’s Pharmacy: We have been in the long-term care game for over 50 years. Because of that, we have had the luxury of time to perfect our distribution and clinical service offerings. We work closely with the SHA to develop best practices and have helped to build out procedures and standards that are used province wide. Join our strong and dedicated team and share our passion for providing geriatric, complex and palliative care. You will also enjoy working with amazing support staff.
Position Details:
40 hrs/week Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm, Saturday & Sunday 8:30am to 4:30pm (rotating weekends, approximately 1/month)Resident Focused Care Responsibilities:
The Pharmacist is responsible for providing safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy and actively contributing to relationship building with residents, families and nursing staff and other allied health care professionals at our long-term care facilities. The Pharmacist will play a key role in clinical care for residents including:
Annual resident interdisciplinary care conferences Quarterly medication reviews Weekly hospice rounds with physician Leading offsite vaccination clinics Consulting with nursing staff to build drug therapy regimens for complex disease states Answer questions from residents and families related to drug therapy Providing education seminars to nursing staff on various health topics Annual medication reviews (SMAPs and mental health medication reviews)Qualifications & Skills:
Experience in Kroll Experience working in a retail environment Experience working with long-term care, geriatric or palliative patients would be considered an asset Good communication skills (both oral and written) Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team Strong collaboration and problem-solving skillsWhat we Offer:
