Saskatoon, Canada Potentia Human Resources Inc. Full time
Job Description

Our client, Pratt’s Compounding Pharmacy, is an independent pharmacy that has been operating in Kamloops, BC for more than 50 years. As one of the oldest operating Pharmacies in the region, they have set themselves apart to become one of Canada’s most comprehensive pharmacies. They offer a wide range of services including, USP Grade Pharmaceuticals, medication reviews and consultations, over-the-counter (OTC) medications and even medications for pets.

As a compounding pharmacy they craft medicines on site in their lab, alongside other leading brands of medicines and vitamins. Their highly trained pharmacists pride themselves in working to the highest standards and use only the best ingredients available.  With thousands of formulas and one of the largest product ranges in Canada, Pratt’s provides medicines and products customers can’t find elsewhere — some of which are even discontinued. Customer service is at the forefront of everything they do. They believe in taking the time to get to know each of their customers on a personal level rather than just completing transactions, ensuring that they can provide the best possible patient care.

They are currently looking for a passionate Pharmacist to join their Kamloops, BC team.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the successful candidate you would be joining a dynamic team where you can expand your expertise in a state-of-the-art compounding lab. The pharmacy integrates nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, and compounding practices, giving you the opportunity to provide personalized care to their diverse patient base. A day in life of a Pharmacist at Pratt’s involves taking the time to get to know the patients and those coming into the pharmacy, creating individualized care plans, and taking great care of their community by offering personalized and caring service.  As a forward-thinking organization dedicated to personal growth and development, Pratt’s prioritizes in-person training (either in Texas or Toronto) to ensure that you have the knowledge required to compound medications.

Additionally, Pratt’s proudly offers the following:

Patient-Centered Care: Their newly renovated pharmacy features private consultation rooms, ensuring you have the optimal environment to provide exceptional care, including medication reviews, adaptations, and minor ailments management.

Flexible Schedule: Full-time and part-time opportunities available to suit your lifestyle. All work is done Monday to Friday, they are not open on weekends. They offer flexible work hours in a fast-paced yet supportive environment, allowing you to thrive both professionally and personally.

Competitive Compensation: $55.00 - $58.00 per hour, plus bonus pay and a competitive benefits package Including Dental, Vision, Disability, and Life Insurance.

Professional Growth: Learn the art of compounding and work alongside experienced assistants, licensed technicians, and fellow pharmacists in a leading-edge pharmacy. Pratt’s is happy to support on-going education. Additionally, they cover your licensing and association fees so you can focus on what you do best—caring for your patients.

Veterinarian Focus: Passion for animal care is a bonus, as they expand their veterinarian services – this is a great opportunity for someone who loves a new challenge

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a pharmacist;
  • Fully licensed with the College of Pharmacists of BC;
  • Proficiency in Kroll is required;
  • Able to make decisions and take initiative proactively;
  • Eager to work collaboratively within a team;
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills;
  • A positive attitude and a passion for patient care is essential;
  • The ability to assess, plan and apply clinical knowledge when required;
  • Additional training or certifications, such as your injection certification is considered an asset.

This position is based in Kamloops, BC. Kamloops offers a unique blend of urban convenience and stunning natural landscapes. Whether you’re hiking through picturesque trails, enjoying water sports on pristine lakes, or simply soaking in the serene atmosphere, Kamloops provides an idyllic backdrop to a fulfilling career. If you are a passionate pharmacist looking for a rewarding career in a vibrant community, we invite you to apply.

Please submit your cover letter and resume as soon as possible.  We look forward to hearing from you
