Application(s) Technologist


Summary:
Our client is seeking an Application(s) Technologist to lead estimating activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll prepare firm bid proposals for a range of advanced gas processing systems while fostering client relationships and supporting project teams.

This role offers significant growth opportunities, allowing you to develop expertise in a collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead proposal activities for a wide array of systems, including:
    • Gas Sweetening
    • Gas Refrigeration
    • Deep Cut Plants
    • TEG and Mole Sieve Dehydration
    • Condensate Stabilization
    • Separator Packages
    • Carbon Capture Solutions
    • Fractionation Trains
    • Heat Medium Packages
  • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Project teams to meet client expectations and ensure technical and commercial accuracy.
  • Prepare cost estimates and formal quotations, review supplier proposals, and optimize processes for efficiency.
  • Support project execution by providing technical input and collaborating across departments.
  • Create P&IDs, preliminary layouts, and handoff materials for awarded projects.
  • Continuously improve proposal strategies and processes.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience with an Engineering Degree or Technical Diploma.
  • Knowledge of gas processing, fabrication, plant layout, and industry codes (e.g., ASME Section VIII, B31.3).
  • Skills in interpreting technical data, mass/heat balances, and process designs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel/Word) and AutoCAD.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

This position is based in Edmonton, AB.
