Our mission is to unleash employee productivity without compromising security by ensuring every identity is authentic, every application sign‑in is secure, and every device is trusted. We innovated the market‑leading enterprise password manager and pioneered Extended Access Management, a new cybersecurity category built for the way people and AI agents work today. Come join us and help shape a safer, simpler digital future. The Director of Product Management, Platforms will lead a team of PMs responsible for APIs, SDKs, infrastructure‑level capabilities, identity & authentication layers, cross‑product services, and internal platforms that accelerate engineering/feature velocity. This is a highly strategic role that blends product vision, platform thinking, customer empathy, and technical depth. You will partner with engineering, design, security, compliance, marketing, GTM teams, and external partners to build a platform that supports the next decade of 1Password innovation. This is a high‑impact, cross‑functional role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly, and knows how to turn vision into results. This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US. What We’re Looking For 8+ years of product management experience, with 4+ years leading enterprise or platform products. Proven success defining and delivering B2B SaaS products for Admin or IT personas in security or identity domains. Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM), and B2B products with large and complex infrastructure. Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable roadmaps. A bias for action, systems thinking mentality, and a passion for building foundational products that empower others. Deep understanding of modern platform patterns (service‑oriented architecture, extensibility frameworks, eventing systems, SDK design). Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a passion for mentoring product managers and fostering cross‑functional alignment. Bonus: Experience in MSP products, working in a remote‑first & high‑growth environment. What You Can Expect Platform Vision & Strategy Define the long‑term platform vision that enables scalability, extensibility, and interoperability across 1Password products. Craft a cohesive roadmap that connects platform capabilities with company‑level business outcomes. Identify emerging opportunities in identity, authentication, secrets management, and security infrastructure. Cross‑Functional Leadership Collaborate with PM, Engineering, Growth, and PMM to build and launch effectively. Partner with Enablement, Sales, and CS to operationalize new initiatives. Drive clarity, momentum, and accountability without needing formal reporting lines. Use data and feedback loops to iterate and improve. Execution & Delivery Partner closely with engineering leadership to deliver high‑quality, reliable, scalable platform components. Ensure internal and external developers have frictionless, intuitive, well‑documented tools and APIs. Prioritize ruthlessly using data, customer insight, and business impact. Influence without Authority Guide cross‑functional peers through trust, clarity, and insight. Advocate for the customer and the business across every touchpoint. Build deep relationships across teams to accelerate impact. Use data and signal to align stakeholders and shape strategy. Compensation (US) The annual base salary for this role is between $236,000 USD and $320,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs. Compensation (Canada) The annual base salary for this role is between 215,000 CAD and 291,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs. Our Culture At 1Password, we prioritize collaboration, clear and transparent communication, receptiveness to feedback, and alignment with our core values: keep it simple, lead with honesty, and put people first. You’ll be part of a team that challenges the status quo, and is excited to experiment and iterate in search of the best solution. That said, 1Password is not for everyone. Our work is demanding, we strive for excellence, and the pace is fast. We need people who are keen to take on challenging problems, who seek feedback to grow, and who are driven to make an impact. We’re looking for individuals who are proven experts in their fields, as well as those who are highly adaptable, can thrive in ambiguity and through change, are curious, and above all deliver results. Our Approach to Remote Work We believe in the power of remote work, but recognize that in‑person connection is important to help us achieve our mission. While we are a remote‑first company, travel for in‑person engagement is a part of almost all roles, and we require our employees to be ready and willing to take part. Frequency will depend on the role and responsibilities, and may include, but is not limited to: annual department‑wide offsites, team meetings, and customer/industry events. What We Offer We believe in working hard, and rewarding that hard work through our benefits.
