Overview We are looking for a Director of Product Management to join the AI & Developer team, focusing on developers. The goal is to enable developers to deeply integrate with 1Password, to provide a secure and superior product experience for their companies and communities, from terminal to infrastructure secrets to AI-related integrations. You’ll execute at a fast pace with a focus on developer experience, user experience, and partnerships in collaboration with Engineering, Design and Marketing peers, making trade-offs, anticipating staffing needs and risks, and ensuring frequent and clear communication. You’ll also evangelize 1Password amongst the developer community, representing us at relevant conferences, events, hackathons, etc. About 1Password: we are building a safe, productive digital future, unlocking employee productivity while ensuring security. Responsibilities Define and deliver on a Developer Tools roadmap that prioritizes strategic initiatives across Product, Partnerships, and GTM for maximum business impact Interact with customers and partners to determine features needed for embedding AI and developer workflows into 1Password Represent 1Password at developer conferences, meetups, hackathons, etc. Define and deliver on a Developer infrastructure secrets strategy to reliably support our expanding business and customer base Own features and experiments end-to-end, write product specs, drive cross-functional execution, make thoughtful product decisions, and share insights throughout the company Accelerate shipping and learning while maintaining a high bar of quality and reliability for Developer Tools Turn rough themes and ideas into a roadmap of features, experiments, and research with minimal guidance Partner with design and engineering to ship well-crafted developer interfaces in an iterative delivery approach Qualifications Experience as a product leader that can drive cross-functional strategy 8+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager leading major product initiatives across Developer Tools, Integrations, and Web APIs Part-time coder, at least as a hobbyist Familiarity with modern AI coding tools and agentic AI frameworks Technical / engineering background Track record of shipping and improving Developer Tools and driving business impact Excellent communication skills, with ability to persuade internally and externally Strong ownership of product success and end-to-end lifecycle management Comfortable discussing technical issues with engineers and exploring solutions Proven ability to lead multiple priorities simultaneously Familiarity with web standards, microservice architecture, immutable infrastructure Ability to mentor junior product managers and engineers Bonus: background in cybersecurity, compliance, identity/access management or secrets management, including OAuth, OIDC What You Can Expect A supportive Product team to help you along your journey Define and deliver on a Developer Tools roadmap that prioritizes strategic initiatives across Product, Partnerships, and GTM for maximum business impact Engage with customers and partners to determine key features for embedding AI and developer workflows into 1Password Represent 1Password at developer conferences, meetups, hackathons, etc. Define and deliver on a Developer infrastructure secrets strategy to support our growing business Own features and experiments end-to-end, including writing specs, cross-functional execution, and sharing results company-wide Turn themes and big ideas into a roadmap with minimal guidance Collaborate with design and engineering to ship developer interfaces and iterate quickly Compensation and Benefits USA-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $236,000 USD and $320,000 USD, plus benefits, PTO, equity, and incentive programs. Canada-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $215,000 CAD and $291,000 CAD, plus benefits, PTO, equity, and incentive programs.
