Job Description:Job Description We are a personal injury law firm seeking a Legal Assistant to become a part of our team You will provide overall clerical support to our lawyers. Responsibilities:Assist in managing client files from open to close;Communicate with clients on a daily basis, provide any developments on their file, answer questions, etc.Name & File various documents in Clio on a daily basis;Draft, request and provide client productions to all parties with regular basis (adjusters/counsel);Scheduling EOD, mediations and court appointments;Manage and maintain lawyer calendars;Maintain and update electronic filing system; andAdditional tasks as required ​Qualifications and Preferred Skills:1+ years experience working as legal assistant (plaintiff personal injury considered an asset);Law Clerk and/or Legal Assistant Diploma;Familiarity with legal case management software and e-filing systems;Ability to work under pressure and multi-task in a fast paced environment;Very organized with excellent time management skills;High attention to detail;Computer savvy and a strong ability to learn new skills quickly;Work well independently as well as part of a team;Punctual, reliable and responsible;Excellent interpersonal skills;Effective communication skills; andStrong work ethic.
