Project Control Officer Alternate / Related Job Titles Project Controls Analyst Project Management Office (PMO) Analyst Project Control Specialist IT Project Coordinator Program Control Officer Location & Onsite Flexibility Toronto, ON — Hybrid (May increase to up to 4 days onsite in the future) Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 1 Year Start: As Soon As Possible Pay Rate: C$65–70/hr Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Extension Possible: Yes Conversion Possible: Yes Position Overview The Project Control Officer provides critical project monitoring and control support across large-scale initiatives within a complex financial services environment. This role focuses on schedule tracking , financial management , RAID governance , and executive-level reporting while working closely with stakeholders across multiple workstreams. Key Responsibilities Manage RAID logs , including ingestion, validation, and ongoing maintenance of risks, actions, issues, and decisions Support project reporting , including weekly status reports, executive steering committee materials, and ad‑hoc requests Track and consolidate interdependencies across project workstreams and external initiatives Support financial management , including monthly forecasts, actual spend tracking, and variance analysis Maintain project change control (PCR) logs and related activities Organize, track, and index required project artifacts Support schedule management , tracking milestones, deliverables, and task progress while escalating slippages Identify, mitigate, and support resolution of project risks in collaboration with delivery teams Required Qualifications 5+ years of overall project controls or PMO experience Degree required (any discipline) Strong experience working independently in environments with ambiguity or limited direction Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities Required Technical & Professional Skills Software / Tools (Must-Have) JIRA Confluence Microsoft Project Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Familiarity with Clarity and SharePoint Hard Skills Project delivery methodologies: PDLC, Agile, Hybrid Project monitoring and control activities: Schedule management RAID management Financial forecasting and cost tracking Reporting and governance support Soft Skills Clear and professional communication Strong stakeholder engagement Ability to work independently Comfort operating in fast‑paced, evolving environments About the Company A Top 10 bank in Canada and North America , delivering comprehensive financial solutions across retail, commercial, wealth management, and wholesale banking.
