Vice President, Group Benefits Our client, a leading national provider of group benefits and workplace wellness solutions, is seeking a Vice President, Group Benefits to lead the sales strategy, client delivery, and market growth across Ontario. This executive will oversee a high‑performing team, manage key enterprise relationships, and drive innovation in benefits solutions, advisor partnerships, and operational excellence. About the Role The VP, Group Benefits will be responsible for setting the vision, strengthening market presence, and ensuring best‑in‑class client outcomes. The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in the Canadian group benefits landscape with strategic leadership capability and a strong commercial mindset. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the sales and growth strategy for Group Benefits across Ontario. Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team spanning underwriting, client service, sales, and operations. Strengthen advisor and consultant relationships to drive new business and retention. Oversee pricing strategy, product positioning, and renewal negotiations. Partner with executive leadership to introduce market‑leading benefits solutions and wellness programs. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal risk frameworks. Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and association meetings. Drive a client‑centric culture focused on service excellence, innovation, and profitable growth. Qualifications 10+ years of progressive experience in group benefits, insurance, or benefits consulting. Proven leadership experience managing teams and regional portfolios. Strong understanding of Canadian benefits products, underwriting fundamentals, pricing strategy, and market trends. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship‑management skills. Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to execute and deliver measurable business outcomes. CEBS, GBA, or relevant industry designation is an asset.
