This is a strategic executive position that will shape the organization’s long-term tax strategy and drive initiatives with significant impact on JDI’s growth trajectory. The Opportunity Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and serving as a key member of the executive team, the Vice President, Tax will lead the development and execution of JDI’s tax strategy across multiple jurisdictions. This includes oversight of income tax and commodity tax matters for JDI’s diverse portfolio of privately held companies, ensuring compliance while optimizing after-tax costs. The successful candidate will: Provide strategic advice and proactive recommendations to enterprise-wide business needs. Lead a high-performing tax team, fostering talent development and succession planning. Oversee global income tax compliance, tax provisions, and financial reporting for multinational entities. Drive modernization through technology adoption and process improvements. Collaborate across the organization to identify tax implications for major business initiatives, including M&A and international projects. This role is based at company headquarters in Saint John, NB and offers the chance to drive JDI’s growth and shape its future tax strategy. Ideal Candidate Profile As the ideal candidate, you are a seasoned tax executive with significant leadership experience in corporate taxation, including income tax, indirect taxation, and international tax.
