THE ROLE

Under the supervision of the Sport & Facility Coordinator, the Sports Stores Supervisor plans, organizes and supervises sports stores activities and equipment according to established policies and regulations. They supervise employees and input employee hours into the pay system. They supervise the issuing and return of sports equipment. They conduct performance checks and minor maintenance on equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses

  • An acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience will also be considered AND
  • A valid drivers license (Alberta)
  • A valid drivers license DND 404, an asset

Experience

  • In the issuing of sports equipment

  • In the preparation and maintenance of outdoor sports facilities
  • In equipment maintenance/scheduling
  • In loss prevention
  • In inventory control
  • In record keeping/invoicing
  • In personnel administration

Competencies

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

English Essential / Bilingual (English and French) an asset

Perform moderate lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing (i.e. more than 10lbs/4.5 kg but less than 50lbs/23kg), as required.
