In this capacity, the Resident Engagement Manager plays a crucial role. Through leadership excellence, the successful candidate will not only manage their department’s budget but also ensure that their team delivers exemplary service. This role is responsible for creating an enriching experience for both Team Members and Residents, fostering an environment where every individual feels valued and cared for. In this role, you will oversee and promote the programs where joy and well‑being flourish among residents. What We Offer A competitive salary and vacation package Health & Dental benefits program RRSP with employer match Share Ownership and Reward Program (SOAR) Employee Share Purchase Plan with company match Continuous learning and growth so you have the skillset needed to succeed and take on new challenges A welcoming culture that values diversity and differing perspectives, experiences and beliefs What You Will Be Doing Enhance resident well‑being, autonomy, and participation in community life Evaluate and enhance programs designed to increase resident involvementEnsure personal professional development and compliance with mandatory training and certifications for both oneself and the team Lead and improve the welcome program for new residents, facilitating their integration and sense of belonging within the community Build and maintain strong partnerships with local entities, vendors, and contractors to support and enrich resident engagement and wellness Record and document discussions during town hall and resident council meetings Create and distribute the monthly schedule of community events and a newsletter for residents and their families Develop and implement programs in line with guidelines and brand standards Grow and oversee a dynamic volunteer program for in‑person and remote volunteers, including student internships Who You Are Possess a degree or diploma in a field related to aging and wellness, such as Gerontology, Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, Therapeutic Recreation, Leisure Studies, Health Promotion, or Health Sciences Bring at least one year of experience in developing programs for seniors, whether in independent living, assisted living, or community center environments Have a minimum of one year in a management or supervisory role Certified, or willing to become certified within the first 60 days of employment, to teach group land fitness and aquatic fitness classes for seniors, as recognized by the organization Hold a valid driver’s license, with the readiness to obtain a special class license within six months of employment if required, complemented by a clean driving record Currently certified in CPR and First Aid Certificate in Smart Serve/Serving It Right (or willingness and ability to obtain) Proficiency in Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as virtual technologies such as Zoom/Teams etc. Additional certifications (i.e. specialized fitness, dementia training etc.) considered a valuable asset What You Need To Know Sienna Senior Living is committed to creating an inclusive environment where all team members and residents feel like they belong.
