Working as part of a dynamic committed team in a healing center that has been active for 35 years, the community social development worker would have the following areas of responsibility:

The areas of responsibility include the following:

  • To promote the services offered by Waseskun through newsletters, internal events & activities with external resources partners (correctional services, communities, etc
  • To organize and be responsible for certain activities and promotional events.;
  • To develop proposals for projects in areas of community reintrgration of residents
  • There may be travel from time to time to Ontario, Atlantic region and out West.
  • To prepare proosals to hire additional team members to expand activities and services for our residents.
  • To fulfill other duties required from time to time or as directed by your supervisor.

The ideal candidat would possess some or all of this abilities/skills:

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in French & EngliMust be able to work as a team member;
  • Must have experience in the tasks related to this project - including proven community development work;
  • The candidate must be very good in written French & English;
  • Must be able to pass a security clearance;
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
