Senior Project Manager – Divisional Initiatives Reporting to the Associate Vice‑President (Student Affairs), the Senior Project Manager – Divisional Initiatives supports Student Affairs Executive members in developing and implementing project management plans that support the Strategic Priorities of the Division of Student Affairs. They work closely with the Student Affairs executive team, the broader Student Affairs Leadership team, and campus partners to ensure divisional projects and initiatives are well communicated, managed, achieve deliverables and outcomes, and enable the Division to advance priorities that benefit students and the broader university community. Senior Project Manager – Divisional Initiatives plays a critical role in supporting student success by ensuring major divisional initiatives are effectively established, managed, and completed. The role is dedicated to leading cross‑functional projects that enhance student engagement and success, streamline operational processes, and foster inclusive campus environments through project delivery and meaningful stakeholder collaboration. Key Objectives Develop and implement project management strategies that align with institutional goals for student development, retention, and success. Utilise strong communication, organization and problem‑solving skills to ensure key initiatives are well organised and understood by the university community. Create a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters broad‑based engagement in our initiatives. Ensure divisional initiatives are well‑organised, strategically planned, and successfully executed to effectively utilise resources to achieve our objectives. Strengthen collaboration across departments to enhance coordination, transparency, and impact. Promote a culture of continuous improvement through data‑informed decision‑making and stakeholder engagement. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 3+ years of experience as a Project Management Professional in an academic, government or public agency context. Experience working at a post‑secondary institution and familiarity with student affairs professionals, including an understanding of divisional and institutional priorities. A project management designation and/or 3‑5 years of project management experience. Demonstrated success supporting full‑cycle projects and facilitating divisional‑wide planning and project implementation. Experience navigating multi‑stakeholder settings with competing priorities and confidential or sensitive issues. Skill Requirements Demonstrated commitment to principles of truth, reconciliation and respect, equity diversity and inclusion, and contributing to an inclusive learning and working environment. Strong ability to effectively implement project management principles and approaches. Proven ability to meet project goals on time and deliver high‑quality measurable outcomes. Proven ability to work with confidential, complex and/or sensitive issues involving multiple stakeholders. Innovative, adaptable and proactive in identifying and addressing emerging needs.
