Reporting to the Associate Vice‑President (Student Affairs), the Senior Project Manager – Divisional Initiatives works to support Student Affairs Executive members in the development and implementation of project management plans that support the Strategic Priorities of the Division of Student Affairs. They work closely with the Student Affairs executive team, the broader Student Affairs Leadership team, and campus partners to ensure divisional projects and initiatives are well communicated and managed, achieve project deliverables and outcomes, and allow the Division to advance priorities that benefit students and our broader university community. Senior Project Manager – Divisional Initiatives plays a critical role in supporting student success by ensuring major divisional initiatives are effectively established, managed, and completed. This role is dedicated to leading cross‑functional projects that enhance student engagement and success, streamline operational processes, and foster inclusive campus environments through project delivery, including meaningful stakeholder collaboration. Key Objectives Developing and implementing project management strategies that align with institutional goals for student development, retention, and success. Utilizing strong communication, organization and problem‑solving skills to ensure key initiatives are well organized and understood by the university community. Creating a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters broad based engagement in our initiatives. Ensuring divisional initiatives are well‑organized, strategically planned, and successfully executed to effectively utilize resources in achieving our objectives. Strengthening collaboration across departments to enhance coordination, transparency, and impact. Promoting a culture of continuous improvement through data‑informed decision‑making and stakeholder engagement. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 3+ years of experience as a Project Management Professional in an academic, governmental, or public agency. Experience working at a post‑secondary institution and familiarity with student affairs professionals, including an understanding of divisional and institutional priorities. A project management designation and/or 3‑5 years of project management experience. Demonstrated success supporting full‑cycle projects and facilitating divisional‑wide planning and project implementation. Experience navigating multi‑stakeholder settings with competing priorities and confidential or sensitive issues. Skill Requirements Demonstrated commitment to valuing the principles of truth, reconciliation and respect, equity diversity and inclusion, and contributing to an inclusive learning and working environment. Strong demonstrated ability to effectively implement project management principles and approach. Proven ability to meet project goals on time and produce high‑quality, measurable outcomes. Proven ability to work with confidential, complex, and/or sensitive issues with multiple stakeholders. Innovative, adaptable, and proactive in identifying and addressing emerging needs.
