Base pay range CA$100,000.00/yr - CA$140,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from TRS Staffing Solutions Strategic Account Manager at TRS Staffing Solutions, Engineering Recruitment Specialists TRS is seeking an experienced ELECTRICAL PROJECT ENGINEER - BUILDING SYSTEMS to lead and deliver building electrical system projects across residential, commercial, and institutional developments. This role involves full lifecycle responsibility—from preliminary design through occupancy—while ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Perform technical calculations for lighting analysis, load calculations, and power system design. Develop electrical designs for new builds, tenant improvements (TI), and base building upgrades. Replace and upgrade voltage equipment, including switchgear and transformers. Apply low-voltage system design expertise across mixed-use and multi-unit residential projects. Act as the main electrical engineer on projects, managing all phases from concept to completion. Host meetings and coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, and clients to resolve issues and meet project goals. Collaborate with drafters and designers to ensure accurate and timely deliverables. Train and supervise junior designers and oversee construction review and completion processes. Qualifications Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation or eligibility for registration in BC. 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering for building systems. Proven track record in mixed‑use residential, commercial, tenancy improvement, and institutional projects. Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and BC Building Code. Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
