Position Summary The Human Resource Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the HR department, ensuring compliance with company policies, labor laws, and collective agreements. This role is responsible for coordinating HR processes in both unionized and non‑unionized environments, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and record management. Key Responsibilities Coordinate job postings, screening, and interview scheduling. Prepare offer letters and employment contracts. Assist in resolving workplace issues by providing guidance and escalating to HR Manager when necessary. Maintain positive relationships with union representatives and ensure adherence to collective agreement and grievance procedures. Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and personnel files. Track attendance, leaves, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements. Support labor relations activities. Support HR Manager with implementation of policies and procedures. Support initiatives for employee engagement and professional development. Qualifications Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 2+ years of HR experience, preferably in a mixed unionized/non‑unionized environment. Knowledge of employment legislation and collective agreements. Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. CPHR candidate is considered an asset. Core Competencies Adaptability – Ability to work effectively in diverse environments. Attention to Detail – Ensures accuracy in documentation and compliance. Interpersonal Skills – Builds positive relationships with employees and union representatives. Confidentiality – Maintains discretion with sensitive information.
