Our focus is on developing complete analytical solutions through Contract Analysis and Research Projects to help our clients integrate macromolecular characteristics with their product performance and safety. Job Summary PolyAnalytik Inc. is seeking an Account Manager to support the Sales and Marketing team in generating new accounts for analytical services and instrumentation sales. We are seeking an enthusiastic and sales-driven professional who will contribute to our sales initiatives, productivity, and client engagement, while serving as a liaison between clients and the Senior Sales and Operations teams. The potential candidate will report directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing and will meet regularly with other Account Managers to discuss sales initiatives and outcomes. The candidates will contact manufacturing organizations, academic laboratories, polymer characterization labs, and independent chemical analysis facilities to help them identify the most efficient chromatography solutions. Responsibilities Act as primary contact for new clients while building long-term relationships with existing clients Attend international tradeshows, conferences, and workshops to further enhance client outreach strategies and objectives with travel requirements of up to 30%. Assist in addressing client needs through emails, calls, webinars, and online presentations Conduct virtual and/or in-person meetings with clients while presenting technical content on products and services offered by PolyAnalytik Inc. and Tosoh Bioscience. Address client needs and expectations with internal and external departments to ensure client satisfaction is met Communicate lead generation updates, progress, and outcomes with other account managers on a monthly/quarterly basis Develop new leads with industries that PolyAnalytik Inc has not yet sought. Attend tradeshows, conferences, and workshops to enhance client outreach strategies and objectives further Read, assess and summarize academic and industrial publications to understand industry trends and innovations further Coordinate Salesforce accounts and ensure leads and opportunities are logged in and followed up with notes and activities. Coordinate as-needed analysis for publications, application notes, PolyAnalytik Inc. talks, and posters Involved with social media promotion of new applications and activities Develop new presentation slides and marketing materials Assist in addressing client needs through emails, calls, webinars, and online presentations Guide the applications team on industries utilizing polymer components within their applications. Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound cold calls, and emails Convey PolyAnalytik Inc.’s services to new customers in clear and scientific language. Understanding customers’ needs and requirements and acting as a liaison between Account Managers and customers Transfer qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure. Follow up on current and past customers for repeat business activities. Create new lists of industries and businesses that can utilize analytical services offered by PolyAnalytik Inc. Establish and maintain customer relationships to provide technical and scientific information. Read, assess and summarize academic and industrial publications to understand industry trends and innovations further Maintain social media presence and connect with current and new customers to increase lead generation. Develop new presentation slides and marketing materials Involved with social media promotion of new applications and activities Use and update Salesforce accounts and ensure leads and opportunities are logged in and followed up with notes and activities. Qualifications Master’s degree in chemistry or chemical engineering, preferably in polymer chemistry and/or material science, with knowledge in industry sales and marketing, is an asset. 3+ years of hands-on experience in sales and account management (Preferred) Strong knowledge and experience in chemistry and material sciences Strong ability to determine project planning Excellent project and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Possess excellent time management skills to manage multiple projects at once Ability to travel across North America for scientific conferences, technical meetings, and industrial collaborations. Possess proficiency in writing technical reports and presentations A self-motivated and enthusiastic personality is a must Scientific knowledge and understanding of analytical techniques, such as physical, thermal, chemical, and spectroscopic analysis, is an asset Ability to speak a second language will be considered an asset Meet the international travel requirement of up to 30% of the time Preferred Experience with specialty chemicals, polymers, advanced materials, or industrial technologies. Exposure to customer trials, scale-up activities, or joint development programs.
