Job Summary

Responsible for normalizing, processing and verification of data received from various sources. Follow established processes to ensure quality and upload to the master data management or other related software. Responsible for maintaining accurate processed data that empower the Purchasing, Sales, Sourcing, and Pricing teams to attain their objectives.


Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Performs data maintenance utilizing automation tools that minimize error and maximize productivity.
  • Inputs data received from external sources to ensure accurate and validated data is available for branch associates in decision making and customer service.
  • Serves as individual contributor on a data team that could include responsibility for, but not limited to: product file maintenance; cost matrix maintenance; price matrix maintenance; employee and organizational hierarchy; vendor file maintenance; and /or customer file maintenance.
  • Works with the team to correct discrepancies, correct processes and implement changes.


Nature and Scope

  • Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.
  • Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.
  • None.


Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
  • No travel required.


Education and Experience

  • HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. Specialized skills training/certification may be required. Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Some experience in the Data Management field is appreciated
  • Minimum Required Education – University (Bachelor degree) or 2-3 years College (Associate degree)
  • Strong written and verbal communications as well as analytical skills
  • Above average or average Microsoft Excel and Office knowledge
  • Results driven person with strong will to complete tasks accurately and on time
