Ability to engage with the client representatives from a Piping perspective. Work in producing Piping estimates for new work scopes on sustainability type projects. Liaise and coordinate with Head office in Calgary and Global value engineering center in India Familiar with piping activities including Plant layout, Piping design and layout, Piping stress, Piping materials, and regulatory aspects. Conversant on Model review software like Navis and able to conduct formal Model reviews. Generating new Piping specifications, expanding current specifications, deviation on specifications. Generating technical decision records and project decision records as related to Piping engineering. Working knowledge on Pipe Stress Analysis as related to downstream projects of Upgrader, Petro Chemicals & Refinery Piping Design of Pipe Supports Familiarity with Transient Analysis Create, specify and maintain data sheets for Specialty Piping (SP) items, such that the items can be purchased Review offers from suppliers and performs a technical bid evaluation of the materials offered Make technical assessments and recommendations when required Post purchase order placement, review and approve supplier documentation for the related piping components Liaise with other engineering disciplines: Process, Instruments, Static Equipment, Procurement and Material Control Generation of Piping MTO’s includes sub-components like steam tracing, pipe insulation, pipe coating/painting.
