Total Rewards

  • $ $60.00 hourly
  • 3 - 6 month contract

A Typical Day

  • Develop piping layouts and designs for brownfield projects within refinery environments, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards
  • Review and update existing drawings to accommodate modifications and tie-ins for new installations
  • Conduct site visits and field checks to verify existing conditions and gather accurate measurements for design work
  • Prepare detailed piping drawings and isometrics using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SmartPlant, PDMS)
  • Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines to resolve design issues and ensure constructability
  • Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and refinery-specific standards throughout the design process
  • Provide technical support during installation and commissioning as required

Successful Candidates Will Have

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 10+ years of piping design experience in oil & gas or refinery projects.
  • Proven experience in brownfield projects, including tie-ins and modifications
  • On-site experience conducting field checks and verifying existing conditions.
  • Strong understanding of ASME codes, piping standards, and refinery specifications
  • Strong communication and coordination skills for multi-disciplinary teams
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
