Overview: As a member of the Contracts Management Group, reporting into the Legal Department, the successful candidate will provide global support for the review and execution of contracts, with a focus on vendor contracts, by Mitel. This is a temporary role for approximately 12 months. Responsibilities: Review and evaluate the terms and conditions of contracts, with focus on legal requirements, to meet the needs of the business, while managing or mitigating risk for Mitel. Interpret and understand various contract provisions for both sales and procurement contracts, and resolve or escalate issues, as necessary. Oversee all aspects of managing and administering contracts, ensuring that internal processes and policies are followed. Drive to meet business objectives by working closely with various teams within Mitel (sales, operations, finance, product management, marketing and research and development). Perform general administration of contracts, including management of the contracts database and contract lifecycle. Other tasks as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor's degree preferred; or high school diploma + relevant experience. Minimum 5+ years’ experience in the review, drafting, negotiation and administration of commercial contracts. Strong ability to draft appropriate contracts language within the required context. Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization with a customer first approach. Comfortable with direct negotiations with customers, suppliers and third-party vendors. Well-organized and detail-oriented with strong time-management skills. Comfortable prioritizing and managing multiple tasks and conflicting demands in a fast-paced environment. Ability to complete work independently while also working as part of a team.
