Patching Analyst

- **Duration:** 12 months, with possibility to extend

- **Location:** Remote


Description:

Seeking a dedicated Patching Analyst to manage and execute computer and server patching using tools like SCCM and WorkspaceOne. Responsibilities include patch deployment, packaging software applications, risk assessment, troubleshooting, and collaboration with cybersecurity teams.


Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement patch management strategies.

- Schedule and oversee patch deployment.

- Package software applications for deployment.

- Identify, test, analyze, and verify patches.

- Troubleshoot operating systems and applications.

- Categorize IT assets and patches by risk.

- Execute testing and production patch rollout.

- Collaborate with Cybersecurity to prioritize vulnerabilities.

- Coordinate with internal stakeholders for patch testing and rollout.

- Create contingency and rollback plans.

- Monitor patching processes and resolve issues.

- Generate reports on patch compliance.

- Maintain knowledge of patch management technologies.

- Coordinate with IT support for system compatibility.

- Train and support team members on patch management procedures.


Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

- Proven experience with SCCM and WorkspaceOne.

- Strong understanding of Windows, Linux, and Mac OS.

- Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy.

- Experience with PowerShell, VB, Batch, and shell scripting.

- Knowledge of backup solutions and image snapshots.

- Experience in system administration and IT infrastructure management.

- Understanding of IT security principles.

- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.

- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

- Preferred certifications in SCCM or WorkspaceOne.


Nice to Have:

- Scripting skills for automation.

- Familiarity with network security protocols.

- Experience in regulated industries with compliance knowledge.
