Join to apply for the Technical Sales Specialist role at MiTek . This role supports outside sales with preliminary truss design and building modeling for architects and structural engineers. It also involves assisting customers with software training, technical support, and general truss design and engineering concepts. The role includes software testing and providing feedback on new features. Some travel to customer locations and industry events is expected. Responsibilities Support outside sales by engaging with architects and structural engineers on preliminary truss design and building modeling. Educate and train customers on software functionalities for truss and building modeling. Educate customers on truss concepts, building modeling, and alternative methods. Test software and new enhancements to ensure a positive user experience. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Building and Construction Technology or related field. 4+ years of experience in commercial truss design, building modeling, or project management, including offsite component design. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD (including AutoCAD Architecture), Revit, and MiTek software (Steel Engine and Design). Equivalent experience and education may be considered. Soft Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively articulate instructions and guidance in highly technical areas; ability to listen and find solutions for customer challenges. Additional Requirements Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance. Willingness to travel 20% to customer locations and industry events. Physical Demands This role is performed in an office environment, involving the use of a computer, telephone, and other office equipment.
