Base pay range CA$170,000.00/yr - CA$200,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Skyline Recruitment Ltd Senior Recruitment Consultant at Skyline Recruitment LTD Position: Mechanical Piping Engineer (Industrial – Oil & Gas) Employment Type: Full-Time Contract Location: Fully Remote (Canada-based) Compensation: $170,000 – $200,000 per year (based on experience) Hours: 40 hours per week About the Role We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Piping Engineer to join our team on a fully remote basis, working on industrial oil and gas sector projects. This role offers the opportunity to contribute your technical expertise to high-profile projects while enjoying the flexibility of remote work. You will be responsible for the design, specification, and oversight of piping systems, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, industry standards, and client requirements. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities Develop piping system designs and layouts for industrial oil and gas facilities. Prepare and review piping specifications, data sheets, material requisitions, and stress analysis. Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations. Collaborate with process, mechanical, and civil/structural engineering teams to integrate piping systems effectively. Support project planning, scheduling, and cost estimation activities. Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and drafters. Conduct or oversee piping stress analysis using relevant engineering software. Review vendor drawings and ensure conformance to project requirements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. P.Eng. designation in Canada preferred (or eligibility for registration). Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in piping engineering within the oil and gas sector. Proficient with piping design software (e.g., AutoPIPE, CAESAR II, or equivalent). Strong understanding of ASME, API, and other applicable industry codes and standards. Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. What We Offer Fully remote work arrangement with flexible hours.
