Articulate business needs including problem statements, objectives, and strategic alignment to ensure accurate delivery of business requirements. Own delivery of high-level requirements driving cost estimation and managing changes due to project change requests. Elicit and deliver detailed requirements to support technical solution design and delivery. Develop efficient and effective solutions through analytical problem solving and data product knowledge. Profile large datasets using enterprise tools to gain insights and highlight upstream data gaps. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, PMO, development, QA) to ensure clear communication and smooth end-to-end delivery. Adhere to enterprise project governance controls to meet performance, quality, and compliance standards. Take ownership and communicate progress on work packages, including requirements management, in a concise and timely manner, escalating issues when appropriate. Assess project change requests and their impact on requirements, checking for alignment to project benefits. Identify risks or issues that may impact project benefits and provide guidance to stakeholders for proactive resolution. Contribute to development of the project plan and high-level work breakdown (WBS), identifying and managing key risks and decisions. Own operational readiness, managing deadlines and adapting to changing work priorities. Support implementation and post-implementation activities as defined in the project plan. Ensure accuracy of business requirements documentation to mitigate project changes and control costs. Foster a collaborative team environment and support community representation. Mentor junior-level Business Systems Analysts and peers. Contribute to a positive work environment through diversity and community support. Scope – Breadth & Depth Experience with data-centric platforms (retail banking/fraud/AML) and low–moderate risk regulatory projects across multiple lines of business. Advanced expertise in Data Lakehouse projects, business systems analysis, and project delivery practices. Advanced data profiling skills using Python notebooks, SQL, and MS Excel – highly valued. Deep understanding of business and user interaction throughout project delivery. Work independently as the senior or lead business analyst and coach/outreach within area of expertise. Lead resolution of complex issues at all levels. Contribute to communication and change management across stakeholders. Experience & Education Undergraduate degree in technical or finance discipline. SQL data analysis skills required. Azure or Databricks certification a plus. Basic Python knowledge for data analysis/profiling is a plus. 5-7 years of related business systems analysis experience.
