Analyste principal, Systèmes opérationnels – TD Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada Hours: 37.5 hours/week Sector: Solutions technologiques Salary: $81,600 - $115,200 CAD Job Description Join a global team of fraud technology professionals focused on delivering the firm's fraud mitigation objectives. Articulate business needs including problem statements, objectives, and strategic alignment to ensure accurate delivery of business requirements. Own delivery of high-level requirements driving cost estimation and managing changes due to project change requests. Elicit and deliver detailed requirements to support technical solution design and delivery. Develop efficient and effective solutions through analytical problem solving and data product knowledge. Profile large datasets using enterprise tools to gain insights and highlight upstream data gaps. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, PMO, development, QA) to ensure clear communication and smooth end-to-end delivery. Adhere to enterprise project governance controls to meet performance, quality, and compliance standards. Take ownership and communicate progress on work packages, including requirements management, in a concise and timely manner, escalating issues when appropriate. Assess project change requests and their impact on requirements, checking for alignment to project benefits. Identify risks or issues that may impact project benefits and provide guidance to stakeholders for proactive resolution. Contribute to development of the project plan and high-level work breakdown (WBS), identifying and managing key risks and decisions. Own operational readiness, managing deadlines and adapting to changing work priorities. Support implementation and post-implementation activities as defined in the project plan. Ensure accuracy of business requirements documentation to mitigate project changes and control costs. Critique and analyze requirement change requests to challenge the impact on original business needs. Analyze impacts to customers, stakeholders, employees, processes, and technology solutions. Clarify work packages of each initiative, including constraints and maintaining a customer-centric approach. Provide recommendations and direction based on the end-to-end customer experience. Lead and own project deliverables related to business requirements. Manage customer and employee experience / stakeholder impacts appropriately. Identify required outcomes of projects and engage stakeholders. Provide ongoing communication to key stakeholders and sponsors. Respond to inquiries and elevate concerns across all organization levels. Lead problem resolution to meet customer needs. Apply change management best practices (e.g., stakeholder analysis, gap analysis, change planning). Collaborate with project manager and sponsor to ensure appropriate resource assignment. Ensure timely notification and escalation of issues while assessing options for prompt resolution. Shareholder Responsibilities Lead requirements management for projects based on complexity, size, and budget. Provide leadership and guidance on business need or problem statement. Identify scope changes and perform impact analysis. Facilitate structured planning, elicitation, documentation, communication, and management of business requirements. Document and validate current state processes and design desired future state. Maintain full requirements traceability and prioritize requirements and scope changes. Collaborate with tech partners and recommend support for system requirements and design, testing plans, and deliverables. Address project issues and concerns, ensuring clear articulation of business requirements. Identify and track risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints, aligning decisions with TD's risk appetite. Develop mitigation plans or lead compliance new process assessments. Continuously enhance business analysis expertise to advise partners and the project team. Lead, motivate, and develop relationships with business, stakeholders, and technology partners. Engage and lead stakeholders to achieve consensus on business requirements. Prioritize workload to deliver on project milestone dates. Participate in coaching, performance review sessions, and employee surveys. Own development plan activities related to training and relationship building. Foster a collaborative team environment and support community representation. Mentor junior-level Business Systems Analysts and peers. Contribute to a positive work environment through diversity and community support. Scope – Breadth & Depth Experience with data-centric platforms (retail banking/fraud/AML) and low–moderate risk regulatory projects across multiple lines of business. Advanced expertise in Data Lakehouse projects, business systems analysis, and project delivery practices. Advanced data profiling skills using Python notebooks, SQL, and MS Excel – highly valued. Deep understanding of business and user interaction throughout project delivery. Work independently as the senior or lead business analyst and coach/outreach within area of expertise. Lead resolution of complex issues at all levels. Contribute to communication and change management across stakeholders. Experience & Education Undergraduate degree in technical or finance discipline. SQL data analysis skills required. Azure or Databricks certification a plus. Basic Python knowledge for data analysis/profiling is a plus. 5-7 years of related business systems analysis experience.
