Emergency Department receives over 250 major trauma cases and 70,000 visits per year. New Phil and Jennifer Gaglardi Tower opened 2022, includes new operating room, surgical services suite, additional beds, obstetric services, labour and delivery, respiratory therapy, mental health and substance use units, and rooftop helipad. Specialty services: Acute Inpatient Psychiatry, Tertiary Inpatient and Community Psychiatric Services, non‑interventional Cardiology, Infectious Disease, Neurology, Gastroenterology and more. Diagnostic support: Clinical Neurophysiology Lab, Sleep Lab, 1.5T MRI, CT scan, Echocardiography, TPA Stroke, Stroke Thrombolysis, provincial Tertiary Neuropsychiatry Programs. Practice Details Royal Inland Hospital seeks multiple Anaesthesiologists to expand the team. The position offers a full practice while allowing time for family and recreational activities. It can support a work‑life balance with 15‑hour weekday calls, 12‑hour weekend calls (approx. once a month), on‑call remuneration, and potential 10‑12 weeks off per year. Public holidays are distributed equally among colleagues, with full pre‑ and post‑call support. Leadership Development Opportunities are available through Interior Health’s NAVIG8 Program, an emerging physician leaders program designed to prepare future leaders early in their careers. Responsibilities Provide anaesthesia care for general, orthopedic, neurosurgery, vascular, obstetrics and gynecology, ENT, plastic surgery, and urology procedures. Manage multiple trauma cases for pediatric and adult patients. Assist in teaching and supervising senior residents during elective rotations at RIH. Maintain full pre‑ and post‑call procedures to ensure patient safety and quality care. Participate in scheduled weekday and weekend call rotations. Engage with locum and short‑term work opportunities if interested. Compensation & Benefits Clinical Service Contract, estimated remuneration $545,000 – $598,000. Relocation assistance $9,000 – $15,000 based on move location (with eligible receipts); incentives subject to change.
