Overview Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops is seeking multiple Anaesthesiologists to join our expanding team. This hospital-based position offers a full practice with work-life balance opportunities in a community known for outdoor recreation and quality of life. Role and Responsibilities The Department of Anaesthesiology provides anesthesia care for General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, ENT, Plastic Surgery, Urology, and multiple Trauma cases for pediatric and adult patients. The team is supported by six Anesthesiology Assistants and engages in teaching for senior residents during elective rotations. This role includes 15-hour weekday calls and 12-hour weekend calls (approximately 1 weekend per month) with on-call remuneration and potential for 10–12 weeks off per year to enjoy local recreational activities. Public holidays are distributed among colleagues. Full pre- and post-call coverage is provided to maintain good working conditions. Opportunities may exist for locum or other short‑term work. The experience offers leadership development opportunities through Interior Health’s NAVIG8 Program, including the NAVIG8 Emerging Physician Leaders Program designed to build practical leadership knowledge, behaviors and skills for early-career physician leaders. Qualifications and Requirements Board-certified or eligible Anesthesiologists with eligibility for or current licensure to practice in British Columbia. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to work in a hospital-based anesthesia department and participate in a busy Surgical Services program. Compensation and Benefits Compensation Type: Clinical Service Contract Estimated Remuneration: $545,000 – $598,000 Relocation and Benefits Relocation assistance: $9,000 – $15,000 based on move location (with eligible receipts).
