NB Canada Irving Oil Full time

As an Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Regulatory Compliance Partner, you will support the Manager of EHS Regulatory Compliance (Sales and Marketing) by managing, maintaining, and delivering EHS‑related compliance activities across Irving Oil Sales and Marketing while interpreting and applying federal and provincial regulations to guide business units. Your goal will be to act as a strategic partner who strengthens corporate and business‑unit compliance initiatives by providing technical and regulatory support, helping develop and implement policies, procedures, training programs, and conducting periodic compliance assessments within SMO operations. Your success will depend on your ability to effectively communicate regulatory requirements, build strong relationships through field engagement, and collaborate with teams to enhance operational understanding and compliance performance. This may include training (curriculum, material, LMS, workshops), awareness and compliance assessments processes Support business units’ representative in the development of plans (security, environment, others) and reports required under Regulations Support, monitor and advise business unit representatives for the development, implementation and review corporate‑wide and business unit specific compliance related policies and standards and development, implementation and review of compliance related operational procedures and processes Support the SMO business units’ learning specialists, where applicable, in developing, reviewing and implementing compliance related training (curriculum, material, LMS, workshops) and awareness programs and activities Develop, manage, coordinates and conduct periodic compliance assessments to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements and internal controls (corporate and business unit‑level policies, standards and operational procedures and processes) and recommend preventative measures to lower overall risk of compliance violations Support the Manager, EHS Regulatory Compliance on any investigations of reported violations of the compliance program or any other issues discovered through periodic compliance assessments or any other audit process (internal or external) and work with the Manager, EHS Regulatory Compliance to update the Compliance Risk Register Review and analyze regulatory compliance data to ensure its accuracy and thoroughness, identify trends and solutions to ensure future compliance and prepare reports for the Manager, EHS Regulatory Complianc and remain current on all applicable laws by monitoring related industry associations, government updates and newsletters, etc. Your Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate differing personalities Organizational skills and the ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment Must be adaptable to change Moderate to advanced computer skills Effective decision making and problem‑solving abilities Your Experience 3+ years' relevant experience related to Environmental, Health, Safety and Compliance and 3-5+ years of petroleum and transportation industry experience Post‑secondary education in EHS program, or equivalent Professional Safety designation Irving Oil is committed to supporting a diverse and inclusive work environment.
