Our people are at the heart of it all, because everything we do is driven by you Steele Wheels is seeking an Event Sales Associate to elevate every event experience Position is on-site: 66 Otter Lake Ct, Bayers Lake, Halifax NS B3S 1L9 Total compensation will be commensurate with your knowledge, skills, and experience. What You’ll Be Doing Generate new business through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and nurturing existing client relationships. Serve as the primary contact for event inquiries, qualifying leads and guiding them through the booking process. Prepare and present proposals, negotiate terms, close contracts, and manage all associated documentation. Collaborate with the Events Associate, Operations Manager, vendors, and other partners to coordinate event logistics and site tours. Develop and execute sales strategies to maximize revenue, meet KPIs, and maintain a healthy event calendar. Understand client needs and deliver tailored event solutions that enhance experience and support budget goals. Maintain strong knowledge of the venue’s features to effectively present and promote Steele Wheels’ capabilities. Support the creation and execution of marketing initiatives that drive awareness and new business. Assist in planning and delivering in-house events, education programs, and client retention strategies. Follow all Health & Safety policies, complete required training, represent Steele Wheels professionally, and perform assigned duties. What You Bring To The Table 2 Years of previous sales experience. Honest, reliable, enthusiastic, and friendly, with a positive attitude. Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills, with confidence in handling inquiries and maintaining professionalism. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent time management, project management, and the ability to prioritize effectively. Self-motivated, goal-driven, and able to work both independently and collaboratively while staying composed under pressure. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with resilience when facing rejection and diplomacy in ensuring contract compliance. Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable managing documentation, reporting, and written communication. Flexible and adaptable, able to work evenings, weekends, and variable shifts.
