About the Position: Reporting to the Senior Officer, Stewardship and as part of the Annual Giving team, the Officer, Monthly Giving & Stewardship, is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the PAW Plan monthly donor program. Ensuring optimization of the program and the implementation and execution of donor journeys that improve retention and support movement through the donor pipeline. This role monitors the month-to-month health of the program and ensures donor records are accurate and up to date, facilitates donor outreach, and assists with the coordination of stewardship activities and donor communications. Working closely with the Senior Officer, Stewardship, this position also contributes to the delivery of donor journeys beyond the PAW Plan portfolio and supports the overall success of Paw Partner mid-level fundraising, and Forever Guardian planned giving initiatives. Some specific duties: PAW Plan Oversight and Optimization (35%): Responsible for the engagement and long-term retention of PAW Plan monthly donors through thoughtful reporting and collaboration on donor cultivation strategies such as targeted stewardship touchpoints, donor journey mapping, segmented communications, and personalized engagement opportunities. Monitors donor activity and feedback to identify trends, flag issues, and recommend improvements to PAW Plan donor journey and stewardship across channels. Works cross-functionally across the Public Engagement and Advancement team to support the movement of donors through the donor pipeline. Supports the accuracy and completeness of donor records, ensuring updates are reflected promptly and consistently across systems. Stewardship and Cultivation Support (25%): In collaboration with wider Annual Giving and Digital Engagement teams, the Officer develops and delivers personalized stewardship activities that deepen donor engagement including customized mailings, recognition touchpoints, and digital impact reports. Collaborates with the Senior Officer, Stewardship to develop cultivation strategies that align with donor journeys and organizational priorities. Analyzes donor feedback and engagement data to inform stewardship tactics and identify opportunities for increased impact. Collaborates with teams across the organization to align and integrate stewardship strategies and projects across channels, portfolios and donor segments. Administrative and Operational Support (20%): Oversees the preparation and processing of donation documentation for mid-level and monthly gifts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with internal protocols. Collaborates with internal teams to troubleshoot donor-related issues and ensure smooth operational workflows across platforms and systems. Supports the planning and execution of donor events and campaigns by managing logistics, coordinating cross-team communications, and ensuring a seamless donor experience. Contributes to the continuous improvement of stewardship operations by identifying process gaps, recommending enhancements, and supporting the implementation of new tools or practices. Maintains organized documentation and reporting to support transparency,, and strategic decision-making. Plans and coordinates activities with volunteers to ensure effective engagement and seamless execution of stewardship initiatives. Planned Giving Liaison Support (10%): Provides initial outreach and follow-up for planned giving inquiries and stewardship materials. Refers Planned Giving prospects to appropriate team members for further engagement as needed. (10%): Attends and contributes to team, department and organization meetings. Develops and maintains relationships with industry peers and commits to continued education, learning and innovation. Contributes to the growth of a culture of health and safety and volunteerism. Demonstrates a commitment to BC SPCA values, work-life balance and principles of equity, diversity, inclusion and reconciliation. Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications you need to have: Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline plus 3-6 years of experience with digital engagement and site administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable to the employer. Demonstrated ability to organize work, manage projects, and adapt with flexibility and creativity in a high-volume environment while meeting priorities and working independently Demonstrated understanding of fundraising strategies and best practices, with specific experience with regular giving programs. Ability to accurately collect, record and analyze complex data to demonstrate success and uncover areas of concern. Experience building and executing a stewardship strategy. Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a diverse audience of internal and external parties at all levels in a respectful manner. Ability to work within established boundaries; able to identify when help is required and demonstrated ability to ask for assistance when required. Proven record delivering exceptional prompt, friendly donor-centric service. Familiarity with a CRM, ideally Raiser’s Edge. Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development. Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft products. Familiarity with planned giving an asset. Working knowledge of concepts of equity, diversity, inclusion and reconciliation; able to relate respectfully to a diverse audience.
