About the role As a Director Non-Payout Readiness you areaccountable for ensuring CDIC's readiness to execute non-payout resolution tools across its member institutions. The incumbent provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the development testing and maintenance of playbooks frameworks and operational plans alongside the management of stakeholder relationships that enable the effective application of resolution tools tailored to the size and complexity of member a senior leader the Director provides subject matter expertise policy advice and operational leadership in support of CDIC's legislative mandate. The role collaborates with internal teams financial safety net partners member institutions and international counterparts to strengthen CDIC's readiness and execution capabilities across all resolution tools. This role can be performed from our Ottawa or Toronto offices following a hybrid model is a full-time permanentopportunity. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES required for this role Operational Preparedness & Execution Ensure CDIC's readiness to apply non-payout tools across institution sizes. Oversee playbooks operational manuals and governance structures supporting execution. Lead response activities during simulations or live interventions. Testing & Simulation Direct enterprise-level readiness testing and simulation exercises. Implement enhancements to improve CDIC's resolution capability and execution maturity. Policy & Guidance Development Contribute to policy By-law and guidance updates related to tool execution. Integrate emerging domestic and international best practices into CDIC's frameworks. Stakeholder Engagement Build strong partnerships with regulators member institutions and external experts. Represent CDIC in committees and inter-agency working groups on resolution operations. Leadership & Team Development Lead mentor and coach a team of senior professionals. Promote collaboration innovation and continuous improvement. Strong understanding of liquidity operational continuity and funding considerations. Excellent leadership decision-making and stakeholder management skills. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver under pressure. Exceptional communication and presentation abilities. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. SKILLS you bring University degree in finance economics law or related discipline (advanced degree preferred). Minimum 810 years of progressive experience in financial services regulation or resolution planning. Experience leading cross-functional teams and complex operational projects. Professional designations (CFA CPA FRM CBV PMP) considered assets.
