**Job Overview**
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate **General Manager** to lead the operations of our retirement residence. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all departments, ensuring high-quality resident care, managing staff, maintaining compliance with legislative standards, and fostering a warm, respectful environment for residents and team members. The General Manager will work closely with the Regional Manager and maintain regular communication with the Head Office.
**Key Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)**:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including financial, human, and physical resources.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Lead and support staff with recruitment, training, evaluations, and scheduling.
- Maintain and ensure high standards in resident care, housekeeping, dietary services, and safety.
- Liaise with inspectors, healthcare professionals, and higher management.
- Promote risk management, infection control, and emergency preparedness protocols.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in a managerial role, ideally within a retirement or long-term care setting, is preferred.
- Certificate in Health Care, Hospitality, Long-Term Care Management, or equivalent experience is an asset.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of senior care needs and empathy toward residents and families.
- Ability to handle confidential information and maintain professionalism.
**Requirements**:
- Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- TB testing and up-to-date immunizations.
- Must be able to commute to the residence located at 17 Genier Street, St-Albert, ON (K0A 3C0).

**Aperçu du poste**
Nous sommes à la recherche d’un(e) **directeur(trice) général(e)** expérimenté(e) et bienveillant(e) pour diriger les opérations de notre résidence pour aînés. Cette personne sera responsable de la supervision de tous les départements, d'assurer des soins de haute qualité aux résidents, de gérer le personnel, de veiller au respect des normes législatives et de favoriser un environnement chaleureux et respectueux pour les résidents et les membres de l’équipe. Le ou la directeur(trice) général(e) travaillera en étroite collaboration avec le ou la directeur(trice) régional(e) et assurera une communication régulière avec le bureau principal.
**Responsabilités principales (incluant, sans s’y limiter)**:
- Superviser les opérations quotidiennes, y compris les ressources financières, humaines et matérielles.
- Assurer la conformité avec la législation pertinente.
- Encadrer et soutenir le personnel dans le recrutement, la formation, l’évaluation et la planification des horaires.
- Maintenir des standards élevés en matière de soins aux résidents, d’entretien ménager, de services alimentaires et de sécurité.
- Assurer la liaison avec les inspecteurs, les professionnels de la santé et la haute direction.
- Promouvoir la gestion des risques, le contrôle des infections et les protocoles de préparation aux situations d’urgence.
- Autres responsabilités selon les besoins.
**Qualifications**:
- Expérience préalable dans un poste de gestion, idéalement dans un milieu de résidence pour aînés ou de soins de longue durée, un atout.
- Certificat en soins de santé, en hôtellerie, en gestion de soins de longue durée ou expérience équivalente, un atout.
- Solides compétences en leadership, communication et relations interpersonnelles.
- Bonne compréhension des besoins des aînés et empathie envers les résidents et leurs familles.
- Capacité à gérer de l'information confidentielle avec professionnalisme.
**Exigences**:
- Vérification du casier judiciaire avec contrôle du secteur vulnérable.
- Test de dépistage de la tuberculose et vaccins à jour.
- Capacité de se rendre sur place à la résidence située au **17, rue Génier, St-Albert, ON (K0A 3C0)**.
