We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager, Partnerships reporting to a Director, Partnerships to join our team and drive our partnership strategies. Job Summary: The Manager, Partnerships will oversee the day-to-day partner relationships, ensuring seamless execution of deliverables and fostering meaningful engagement that maximizes value for both the Tempo and our partners. They will also support the development and execution of innovative partnership strategies to drive revenue growth. This role involves working closely with key stakeholders, including corporate partners, and community organizations, to create and manage high-impact partnerships that align with the team’s goals and objectives. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Partnership Management: Support the Director, Partnerships in the management and execution of partnership strategies, ensuring seamless delivery of assets and activations. Develop a deep and thorough understanding of our partner’s business and competitive environment. Build and execute creative, integrated marketing solutions that deliver against partner objectives and drive affinity for the Tempo in the marketplace. Collaborate cross-functionally (e.g., marketing, sales, operations) to deliver on partnership commitments and ensure alignment with overall team objectives. Ensure that partnership activations align with the team’s brand values and enhance the fan experience. Expectation to attend majority of the games during the season to manage all partner relations. Strategic Planning: Support the Chief Revenue Officer and Director, Partnerships in the development of custom partnership strategies that align with prospective partners' objectives and the franchise’s overall business goals. Conduct research and analysis to identify brand synergies, industry trends, and innovative opportunities for potential partners. Reporting and Analytics: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights that can inform partnership strategies. Evaluate the effectiveness of existing partnerships, analyzing performance against key objectives and identifying areas for optimization. Support in the maintenance of comprehensive partnership performance reports, tracking ROI, engagement metrics, and key success indicators. Develop, lead and be accountable for individual partner budgets with monthly and year end reporting requirements. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Manage an Account Executive, Partnerships on a daily basis. Work cross-functionally with internal teams to share insights, execute activations, and ensure seamless partnership fulfillment. Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field. 5+ years proven experience in partnership development, sponsorship management, or business development, preferably in the sports or entertainment industry. Strong understanding of partnership strategies, contract negotiations, and revenue generation. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders. Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Proven leadership abilities and experience managing a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Confidentiality – ability to keep confidentiality and to practice discretion. Adaptability – flexible in the face of change, maintains a positive demeanor, can handle conflicting priorities without loss of composure. Organization – can plan and schedule activities and workload optimally. Proactivity – can foresee multiple outcomes and acts to prevent problems. Communication– listening skills, oral and written verbal skills; telephone and email. Service Driven – interacts positively with executives, clients, customers, guests, and peers. Business Acumen – understands the business needs of the end users and uses this understanding to anticipate needs. Team Player - handles responsibilities well as part of a group and when solely responsible for a task or outcome. Judgement - able to make reasonable decisions as needed in the absence of direction, refers problems/issues to another appropriate person in a timely manner, can be trusted to work without constant or direct supervision.
