About the Role This position is responsible for the implementation of multiple corporate and departmental data, analytics, and technology projects. Provides expertise to multi-year work planning activities including consultation, documentation, monitoring, and reporting functions. Leads or coordinates special projects and cross-functional groups to achieve organizational goals. Supports existing systems and drives continuous improvement. What You'll Be Doing Collaborates/works with stakeholders and follows the corporate strategic leadership, planning and direction related to this function. Leads and coordinates corporate-scale data, analytics, and technology projects from inception to deployment with sound operations and maintenance processes following project management and change management best practices. Develops project management documentation and improves the use of project management tools. Facilitates the definition of project goals, scope, and deliverables and works with management to ensure effective project sponsorship. Supports management and coordination of external resources and ensures conformance to requirements. Engages service users and collaborates with specialists to understand user needs. Provides consultation to management on project matters, including resources and budget. Prepares and presents reports on project health and the project pipeline. Implements and manages projects changes and interventions to achieve project outputs. What We're Looking For Successful completion of a University Degree in Geomatics, Environmental Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline or approved equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or approved equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum five (5) years progressively responsible and practical experience in leading the delivery of data, analytics, or technology projects. Knowledge of a recognized change management methodology and experience in helping users adapt. Experience with geospatial data management, location analytics, and geospatial web services. Experience in managing and coordinating resources and ensuring conformance to requirements; providing oversight of projects and consultants, including project initiation and resource procurement processes.
