ABOUT THE ROLE 
This position is responsible for the implementation of multiple corporate and departmental data, analytics, and technology projects. Provides expertise to multi-year work planning activities including consultation, documentation, monitoring, and reporting functions. Leads or coordinates special projects and cross-functional groups to achieve organizational goals. Supports existing systems and drives continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING 

• Collaborates/works with stakeholders and follows the corporate strategic leadership, planning and direction related to this function.
• Leads and coordinates corporate-scale data, analytics, and technology projects from inception to deployment with sound operations and maintenance processes following project management and change management best practices.
• Develops project management documentation and improves the use of project management tools.
• Facilitates the definition of project goals, scope, and deliverables and works with management to ensure effective project sponsorship.
• Supports management and coordination of external resources and ensures conformance to requirements.
• Engages service users and collaborates with specialists to understand user needs.
• Provides consultation to management on project matters, including resources and budget.
• Tracks project deliverables using appropriate tools.
• Prepares and presents reports on project health and the project pipeline.
• Implements and manages projects changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 

• Successful completion of a University Degree in Geomatics, Environmental Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum five (5) years progressively responsible and practical experience in leading the delivery of data, analytics, or technology projects.
• Knowledge of a recognized change management methodology and experience in helping users adapt.
• Experience with geospatial data management, location analytics, and geospatial web services.
• Experience in managing and coordinating resources and ensuring conformance to requirements; providing oversight of projects and consultants, including project initiation and resource procurement processes.
