Permanent position with the opportunity to transition to a full-time role as the company grows (3 to 6 months), with compensation to be reviewed accordingly. 20 hours/week – Remote with occasional site visits About Us Elysium Engineering is a fast-growing Toronto-based firm specializing in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and gas system design for buildings. We’re seeking a Junior Mechanical Designer to join our team part-time (20h/week) to support our growing portfolio of projects. The ideal candidate is autonomous, detail-oriented, and eager to take full ownership of design projects, from drawings to coordination within a collaborative and remote-first environment. Responsibilities Design HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems Produce technical drawings usingAutoCAD 2D Prepare reports, specifications, and project documentation Review and coordinate drawings with draftsmen Communicate and collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors Conductoccasional site visits to verify installations (GTA only) Independently manage assigned projects , ensuring quality, timelines, and coordination across stakeholders Qualifications Completed diploma or degree inMechanical Engineering (college or university) 1 to 2 years of relevant experience preferred (co-op/internship included) Familiarity withAutoCAD 2D Basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural plans Strong attention to detail and excellent time management Based in theGreater Toronto Area Driver’s license + personal vehicle required (for site visits) Don’t meet every requirement?
