Junior REVIT and AutoCad Drafter/Designer (HVAC, plumbing, building services)

Job Description

As a REVIT and AutoCad Drafter/Designer with Entrust Engineering you will have the opportunity to work on a multitude of different projects within the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors of the HVAC, plumbing and building services design industry.

Experience

● Excellent English Comprehension (written and verbal communication)

● 1-3 years of working experience as a mechanical designer/drafter in the HVAC industry

● Create working drawings that comply with company standards using REVIT (and AutoCAD)

● Create REVIT (and AutoCAD) drawings from mark-ups or based on instructions from Senior Engineers

● Perform design calculations under the guidance of Senior Engineers, including heating and cooling load, plumbing load, sizing of ductwork, piping and terminal units utilizing ASHRAE, OBC, Carrier HAP, good engineering practice

● Communicate with other disciplines on a project by project basis

● Layout and size mechanical systems as directed

● Maintain up-to-date drawings including architectural backgrounds

● Organize and print drawing sets as requested in a timely fashion

● Produce plot files, PDF's, part plans, CCNs and SIs as required

● Review drawings for quality control

● Set up drawings in an organized fashion and appropriately labeled

● Set up and create X-Refs/layers/blocks/linetypes

● Store and manage, project documentation, archive drawing files and record sets of drawings in accordance with company Project Management Standards

Qualifications and Skills Required

● Bachelor of Science or Engineering University Degree

● College Diploma or Technical Training in REVIT, AutoCAD, Building Design

● Above Average working knowledge of AutoCAD and REVIT

● Experience with reading and coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, Structural and Architectural drawings

● Experience with Windows and general computer skills including Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, etc...

● Good problem-solving and analytical skills

● Good time management and organizational skills

● Strong interpersonal communication skills

● Detail-oriented

● Ability to think independently

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000-80,000 per year

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
