Intermediate Environmental Scientist – WSP Join to apply for the Intermediate Environmental Scientist role at WSP in Canada. The Opportunity WSP is seeking an intermediate Environmental Consultant to join our Site Assessment and Remediation Team in Southern Ontario. What you can expect Conduct Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), site remediation, risk assessments and Records of Site Condition. Apply knowledge of Ontario Regulation 406/19 in project planning and execution. Assist with proposals, conceptual site models, and work programs. Supervise and mentor junior staff in field and office settings. Coordinate field programs, subcontractors, and equipment logistics. Review and interpret environmental data, lab results, historical records. Prepare technical reports and ensure regulatory compliance. Develop client relationships and contribute to business development. Support health and safety initiatives and promote a safety‑first culture. What you’ll bring Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). 3–5 years of experience in environmental consulting, focus on site assessment and remediation. Eligibility for professional designation (P.Eng., P.Geo) and Qualified Person (QP) status preferred. Strong understanding of Ontario environmental regulations (O.Reg. 153/04 & 406/19). Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for local fieldwork. About WSP WSP is one of the world's leading professional services firms.
