OverviewAs part of WSP, you will have access to a network of resources and collaborate on projects with diverse teammates. We’re looking for an intermediate hydrogeologist with a specialization in groundwater modelling to join our Ontario Hydrogeology Team, located in one of our GTA offices (Toronto, Mississauga, Cambridge, St Catharines, Barrie). You will provide numerical modelling support for hydrogeological, environmental, and engineering investigations related to multi-disciplinary development projects.What you’ll doWork with interdisciplinary project teams on highly complex projects to challenge and grow your skills.Support development and implementation of numerical groundwater flow models for a wide range of projects, including:Large-scale open-pit and underground mining operationsRegional and local hydrogeological assessmentsMunicipal source water protection studiesDewatering assessments for infrastructure projectsCompile field and other data for interpretation and analysisCollaborate with intermediate and senior hydrogeologists to provide technical services for mining and infrastructure projectsProvide technical analysis, visualizations, and contribute to conceptual site modelsWork independently and in teams under senior supervisionPrepare technical documents and reportsAssist in the development and preparation of project proposalsDemonstrate a safety-first mindset and comply with WSP and client health and safety proceduresContribute to a flexible work schedule and ongoing technical developmentWhat you’ll bringA Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Hydrogeology, Environmental/Earth Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or related program; specialization in groundwater modelling is preferred5–10 years of experience and registration as Geoscientist or Engineer in OntarioExperience with hydrogeological analysis tools (e.g., AQTESOLV) and numerical modelling (MODFLOW, FEFLOW, HydroGeoSphere, etc.)Experience with Python and SQL for data analysisUnrestricted Ontario Class G Driver’s Licence with clean driving record and access to a vehicleStrong computer skills (MS Office) and excellent time management, communication, writing, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and to collaborate with staff, subcontractors, and clientsAbility to learn new systems and skills independentlyAbout UsWSP is one of the world’s leading professional services firms.
