Job details Location North York , ON M2N 6P4 Salary 40,000 to 45,000 annually (To be negotiated) / 40 hours per week Terms of employment Permanent employment Full time Vietnamese Turkish Korean Chinese Work setting Urban area High school Education Responsibilities Tasks Develop communication strategies Implement communication strategies and programs Prepare written material such as reports, briefs, website content Provide consultation on planning and starting of new businesses. Supervise professional and support staff and students Write speeches, presentations and press releases Answer written and oral inquiries Gather, research and prepare communications material Prepare and/or deliver educational, publicity and information programs, materials and sessions Develop portfolio of marketing materials Develop and implement business plans Write and edit press releases, newsletter and communications materials Administer and interpret standardized intelligence, aptitude and interest tests Refer students to other specialized services when required Prepare and deliver presentations at conferences, workshops and symposia Participate in staff meetings, educational conferences and workshops Develop guidance and counselling programs Counsel students regarding personal and social issues Consult with teachers, parents, administrators and community agencies Co-ordinate the provision of counselling and information services to students, parents and teachers Visit colleges and secondary schools to provide academic information to prospective students, their parents and educational institutions Counsel students regarding educational, career or vocational issues Attend educational conferences and workshops Supervision 1 to 2 people Experience and specialization International students Overseas Counselling specialization Academic program or credit evaluation Special education Multicultural adjustment Gifted learners Career or post-secondary training orientation Area of specialization International exchange education Additional information Transportation/travel information Willing to travel Travel expenses paid by employer Work conditions and physical capabilities Work under pressure Fast-paced environment Combination of sitting, standing, walking Personal suitability Client focus Efficient interpersonal skills Flexibility Initiative Judgement Organized Team player Reliability Integrity Quick learner As per collective agreement Bonus Commission Other benefits Other benefits Paid time off (volunteering or personal days) Who can apply for this job?
