Overview Hitachi Rail STS USA is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated professional to support project quality management in a fast-paced environment. This position is based in Toronto, Canada . Accountabilities Supports the project management team on quality-related issues to achieve objectives in terms of quality, supplier and subcontractor quality, and customer satisfaction. Leads the implementation, maturity assessment, and continuous improvement of processes along the value chain to improve customer satisfaction and profitability in a safe working environment. Responsibilities Cooperate with the customer on Project Quality issues and own actions to resolve them. Enable and coach project team members to evaluate risks, problems and solutions from a quality and customer/stakeholder perspective. Analyze transferability of experience between projects and plan Quality Assurance activities to reduce risk. Collaborate with the project team to develop schedules, estimates, forecasts, and budgets for quality activities. Apply project quality procedures and plans, ensuring appropriate implementation and compliance from the project team. Certify effective internal controls (project, supply, site) to verify processes meet customer and stakeholder requirements, and validate that control plans mitigate prioritized risks. Perform audits on project delivery and use quality data analytics to identify risks, failures and nonconformances, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are taken and closed out. Qualifications Education: Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent technical background. Ontario P.Eng is highly desirable. Languages: Written and verbal English communication skills. Clear background (criminal) check.
