Blo Blow Dry Bar is the original blow dry bar. As the creator of the blow dry bar concept, we know and shape this specialized market better than anyone else. Blo is also the world’s largest blow dry bar franchise. There are currently over 100 locations across Canada and the US and we are continuing to expand at a rapid rate. Recently, Blo acquired Canadian-owned MYNC Beauty Inc. (MYNC), a premier brow and lash bar with six locations across the GTA. The acquisition paves the way to also announce the introduction of the new MYNC franchise system for entrepreneurs looking to own their own business in the beauty industry.

This position reports directly to the Vice President – Franchise Operations


Critical Success Factors (CSF):

  • Build strong relationships with strategic partners (Franchisees)
  • Provide world-class, ‘far beyond expectations’ Franchisee experience
  • Efficiently measure and document all activities and results so that management decisions are made based on accurate, objective data
  • Be “present” for Franchisees as they embrace and overcome the challenges required to grow a successful business.
  • Support Franchisees by helping them to meet and exceed established sales goals.


Roles & Responsibilities:

The role of the Franchise Business Coach (FBC) is to conduct remote and in-person support for Blo Blow Dry Bar franchisees. The FBC will ensure Blo franchisees are supported with the goal of improving their overall growth and profitability.


The FBC, in line with Blo’s standard coaching programs, will also assist first year franchisees establishing best practices and maximize first year growth.


The Franchise Business Coach will:

  • Conduct remote performance management meetings with Franchisees on a consistent basis to drive shared accountability, problem solve root issues facing their respective businesses and establish short-term objectives that are in line with longer term goals
  • Conduct coaching activities (remote or in-field) as necessary to improve Franchisees performance and skill in all facets of the Blo business
  • Conduct in-class and virtual training workshops to new Franchisees as required
  • Conduct on-the-ground training for new location openings as required
  • Support and lead training of new Franchisees as required
  • Prepare reports for executive management to track Franchisee sales & revenue performance
  • Document all calls, meetings and field visits in corporate CRM systems
  • Workshops/regional meetings as required
  • Contribute to the development of resources, such as manuals, job aids, and monthly articles as required
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Blo systems, resources and software programs


Requirements:

  • Previous franchise support is preferred
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter, results-oriented, assertive, enthusiastic and energetic
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and priorities effectively
  • Willing to work evenings and weekends when required
  • Ability to manage a multi-project workload
  • Strong organizational, conflict resolution, problem solving and planning skills
  • Ability to make independent decisions; assume complete responsibility for work and decisions
  • Travel between Canada and USA) as required. Expected travel 50%.
  • Ability to work in Toronto office Tuesdays and Fridays each week.


Compensation:

  • Base salary
  • Bonuses based on franchisee performance (up to 20% of base salary)
