Position Overview As a part of the AIA National Office staff team, the Executive Assistant to the National Director is a relational, detail-oriented, solution-minded, and team-oriented individual who will work closely with the National Director of AIA as well as the Executive Leadership Team. This person will function in multiple administrative capacities, including calendar and email management, reconciliation of expenses and travel arrangements, as well as some donor interfacing duties. The EA ensures that the AIA National Director and Executive Leadership Team functions at full leadership capacity, helping to move the AIA mission forward of helping people know Jesus and experiencing his power to change the world through sport. In this role, you will be responsible to achieve the following: Support the AIA National Director and Executive Leadership Team Tracking and reporting of expenses in accordance with P2C policies and best practices Tracking and updating donor records in P2C database (Salesforce) Calendar and email management and prioritization Provide support and preparation assistance for key events, meetings, and speaking engagements Being the point of contact for Power to Change for the Executive Leadership Team Provide regular and special communication with AIA staff Provide tech support as needed Help strengthen relationships with donors, staff, and stakeholders Support and augment donor invitation strategy for national-scope events Engage with AIA donors and alumni in a friendly and professional manner Ensure donor tracking and follow up is done in a timely and effective manner Helping the AIA National Director coordinate priorities Model the AIA culture to donors, staff, and other stakeholders Help steward donors including thanking them for donations Projects and events are done with excellence and solutions are brought to problems that arise Support the Operations Team in planning and executing events of national scope Support and execution of special projects or assignments as required Liaise with other P2C ministries and stakeholders to help make events successful Juggle last minute changes and re-prioritize on the fly Education & Experience You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent You have administrative experience in an autonomous role preferred You have experience with Google Suite (this is an asset) You have experience with Salesforce (this is an asset) About you You have a deep and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ You have a passion and commitment to communicate the gospel and sincere interest in Christian ministry work You have a commitment to Athletes in Action’s leadership, methods, and ministry models You enjoy working as part of a team and collaborating together You are flexible and willing to adapt to changing priorities You are comfortable working in a constantly changing environment You are a gifted administrator and also are able to relate well with people You are comfortable sharing your thoughts and opinions with a team Requirements You have excellent organizational skills with an attention to detail You have strong communication skills via email, in person, and online You are able to re-prioritize in a dynamic and busy work environment You have a pleasant and professional demeanor You must be a resourceful and initiative taker who will see problems and help provide solutions You have availability to travel at least a minimum amount of time You are friendly and comfortable interacting with people What We Offer Our Staff Employer-paid extended health and dental benefits Health Care Spending Account Group RRSP contribution options with up to 3.5% matching after 1 year of employment Access to our Employment Assistant Program (EAP) Paid vacation Extra vacation week from Christmas to New Year Weekly Chapel services Semi-annual Day of Prayer participation Discounts at our Resource Centre We thank all applicants for their interest in Power to Change; however, only suitable candidates will be contacted to continue the application process.
