Join our Downstream Chemicals team Site Information Baker Hughes – Site Lead – Downstream Chemicals – Sarnia, ON – Full time – On-site – Oil and Gas Role Overview As a Site Lead, you will provide services that best anticipate, understand and exceed our customers’ expectations. We need a Site Lead that is driven, knowledgeable and eager to join our team and make things happen. Key Responsibilities Safely managing day-to-day operations of refinery process, finished fuels, and water treatment programs to ensure performance and value delivery for our customers Developing trusted relationships with customers and cross-functional teams to promote collaboration Applying account management fundamentals to understand customer needs, requirements and potential sales opportunities while supporting the account P'L Identifying and coordinating numerous projects of varying complexity to bring value to our customers Routine monitoring and reporting of performance of existing treatment programs Collaborating with team members to drive technical sales and innovative solutions that bring value to our customers Collecting and interpreting data for troubleshooting, service reports, meetings, reviews, and presentations delivered to customers Providing field support, laboratory analysis and technical guidance for our customers on issues, projects, turn‑arounds, shut‑downs, and daily operations Managing chemical inventories and deliveries at the customer location Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering (preferred) or similar discipline Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Downstream chemical process treatment programs Strong understanding of industrial chemical treatment technology and sales process Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Previous experience working in a laboratory setting and/or familiarity with analytical methods and interpretation A comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and refinery market conditions Ability to present complex technical content to various levels of internal and external organizations, in a clear and concise manner Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) Ability to drive a company vehicle as required to perform job duties (motor vehicle record checks will be performed to determine eligibility to drive a company vehicle) Work Arrangements This role is a full-time on-site position in Sarnia, ON.
